At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday, Sri Lanka crushed Hong Kong by four wickets in the eighth game of the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025.
Despite Hong Kong’s valiant recovery, the defending champions ultimately scored the winning runs for the cost of six wickets with seven balls remaining after chasing a modest 150-run mark.
With set hitter Nissanka at the crease, the reigning champions needed just 31 from 30 deliveries to reach 119/2 in 15 overs.
However, Sri Lanka collapsed after losing three more wickets in quick succession after the opening batsman was dismissed on the first delivery of the 16th over, falling to 127/6 in 17.1 overs.
