The policewoman who recently saved the life of a woman from a violent mob in Lahore’s Ichhra Bazaar met with army chief Gen Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday.
Gulberg Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters.
The army commander praised ASP Naqvi for her selfless dedication to duty and professionalism in defusing a difficult situation. “The fearless officer extricated a woman from the difficult milieu of Ichhra Bazaar in Lahore on February 26,” according to an Inter-Services Public Relations release.
Gen Munir recognized the important role Pakistani women play in all aspects of life. “Pakistani women have distinguished themselves at home and internationally since independence.
