During a fundraiser speech, US President Joe Biden mocked Republican presidential contender Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz, calling them “losers”.
Biden, 81, mocked Trump’s 77-year-old debt and inability to raise money, according to the Daily Mail.
Addressing the crowd on Wednesday, he revealed that his campaign raised $53 million in February, while Trump’s team reported raising $10.9 million.
During the Dallas event, the first of two in Texas, Biden said that he had raised $2.5 million for his reelection campaign.
Concerning candidates, he asked funders to support Colin Allred over Cruz.
He went on to say: “You’ve got to elect Colin as your next senator, so Ted Cruz joins another loser, Donald Trump.”
He also insulted the former president in front of an audience of approximately 100 people for his “crushing debt.”
