When Mark Hamill finally got to meet Natalie Portman, his on-screen mother from Star Wars, at the 2024 Golden Globes, he was in for a treat.
The Batman actor said, “Now I have finally met my’mother’, thanks to the @goldenglobes,” while posing with another actress on Instagram.
The two performers had previously expressed their desire to be together after working on the same property, but they had never really met.
The 72-year-old once joked, “I thought holy moly when I saw that Natalie Portman was my mother.”
“A child that looks like this has a mother that beautiful? I do not accept it. I ought to appear much more attractive.”
“I know, It’s such a shame, I would love to meet him,” the Oscar winner said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I’d be delighted to meet you, Mark. How are you doing? Come on over!”
In the prequel trilogy of Star Wars, Natalie played Padmé Amidala, whereas Mark played Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy.
