Pakistan wants peace in the area after giving India a “bloody nose” in the May battle, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
At the August forum in New York, the prime minister declared, “We have won the war, and now we seek to win peace in our part of the world, and this is my most sincere and serious offer before this assembly of the world nations.”
Following a terrorist incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, New Delhi launched an unprovoked attack on Islamabad, sparking a four-day conflict between India and Pakistan that was the worst in decades. India accuses Pakistan of carrying out the strike, a claim Islamabad has strongly refuted.
