Hunter Biden’s legal team expressed dissatisfaction with a federal judge’s ruling to uphold the first son’s tax charges and promised to challenge Special Counsel David Weiss’ “abnormal way” of handling the matter.
Hunter Biden’s motion to have the allegations against him dismissed by U.S. District Judge Marc Scarsi of Los Angeles was denied after Weiss accused the first son of a four-year conspiracy to evade paying $1.4 million in taxes.

In their moves to drop the charges, Hunter Biden’s attorneys asserted that Republican political pressure caused federal prosecutors to back down. Additionally, they asserted that the president’s son was immune from prosecution because of a prior plea agreement he had made that fell through.
