Pop superstar Harry Styles is helping struggling music venues across the UK. For his 2026 Together Together tour, he will donate £1 from every ticket sold to small venues, aiming to raise approximately £780,000 for the LIVE Trust. Tour Details and High Demand The tour includes seven cities, with six nights at London’s Wembley Stadium. Following huge demand, Styles added two extra shows. Fans are eagerly queuing for pre-sale tickets, which range from £44.10 to £466.25, with a £2.95 handling fee per order. This pricing is higher than his 2023 Wembley shows, reflecting the rising cost of stadium events. In New York, Styles will perform 30 nights at Madison Square Garden. Despite ticket prices, the tour remains one of the most anticipated music events of the year. His shows coincide with the release of his fourth album, Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally, on 6 March. Supporting Grassroots Music Styles is following in the footsteps of artists like Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Lorde, and Radiohead, who have also contributed to small music venues. The LIVE Trust works to protect grassroots venues that are struggling financially. Recent reports show that over half of UK small venues fail to make a profit, and since 2023, more than 150 have permanently closed. "I wouldn’t be where I am today without the gigs I played around the North East and beyond when I was starting out," Styles said. "These venues are legendary, but they are struggling." The Music Venue Trust praised Styles’ contribution, noting that even a £1 levy per ticket can provide long-term support for the live music ecosystem. Culture Minister Ian Murray has expressed support for the initiative, aiming for at least 50% of stadium and arena tickets in 2026 to adopt a similar levy. Levy Impact and Future Plans Although no funds have been distributed yet, the first phase of funding will soon be announced. Beneficiaries will include venues, artists, and independent promoters. Last year, 8.8% of tickets for UK arena and stadium shows included a version of this "grassroots levy," which continues to grow in popularity. Styles’ Upcoming Highlights Alongside his tour, Styles will present at the Grammy Awards this weekend in Los Angeles. He won Album of the Year at the 2023 ceremony for his third record, Harry’s House. Fans have expressed mixed reactions to ticket prices, with some noting that top-tier seats now cost £140 more than last time. Despite this, the focus remains on Styles’ efforts to give back to the music community that supported his early career.

Overall Winner: Athanasios Maloukos, Greece Athanasios Maloukos took the top prize for two series exploring ritual, belief, and movement. One captures the solemn Holy Week processions in Zamora, Spain, while the other follows the hypnotic Sema ceremony of whirling dervishes in Konya, Turkey. Both series were shot in low light, using precise shutter speeds to balance blur and stillness. Chris Coe, TPOTY founder, praised Maloukos’s skill. He said, “Capturing movement like this requires extreme precision. These images convey rhythm, reverence, and emotion entirely in camera, without over-processing.” Judge Jeremy Hoare called this work “one of the best over the 23 years of these awards.” Travel Image of the Year: Dana Allen, US Dana Allen won Travel Image of the Year for his striking photo of a bull elephant in Tanzania's Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The elephant, covered in dust, peers through a single visible eye. Although elephants often take dust baths, Allen’s shot transforms a familiar behavior into an abstract study of texture and gesture. This image also earned him the One Shot: Travel in Monochrome award. Young Travel Photographer of the Year 2025: Jamie Smart, UK At just 10 years old, Jamie Smart impressed the judges with her portfolio of flying foxes, photographed both at a zoo hospital in Queensland and in the wild. Judge Krystal Chryssomallis highlighted her sensitivity and awareness in storytelling. “Jamie understands light, timing, and framing. Her images communicate meaning and tell a compelling story.” Global Competition Highlights The competition received over 20,000 submissions from 160 countries. Entries were judged anonymously by a 16-member international panel. Finalists were required to submit original raw files, ensuring authenticity and confirming no AI involvement. The judges noted that the standard this year was exceptionally high. “The strongest photographs carried depth, intention, and emotion,” said Chryssomallis. “They show that when we truly see the world, it is powerful and beautiful.” These award-winning images capture moments of ritual, nature, and human resilience, reminding us of the extraordinary stories waiting to be discovered through travel photography.
