QUETTA: A fresh westerly weather system has arrived in Balochistan, with rainfall and snowfall continuing in various parts of the province, ARY News reported on Monday.
During the rainy season, the Quetta valley and surrounding areas received heavy rainfall.
The Deputy Commissioners of various districts in Balochistan have issued a notice to deal with any emergency situation.
Most districts are anticipated to receive more rain over the next 24 hours.
Previously, the Met Office predicted that a westerly wave would approach Balochistan on March 9th and continue to the upper sections on March 11th. The 12th of March saw another westerly wave.
The Met Office previously predicted rainfall with wind/thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls in Turbat, Kech, Gwadar, Jiwani, Pasni, Ormara, Panjgur,Kharan, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbella, and Awaran on March 9th and 10th. Rainfall and snowfall (over the hills) are anticipated in the Balochistan districts of Chagai, Noushki, Washuk, Mastung, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhel, Kohlu, Jhal Magsi, Loralai, Ziarat, Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, and Qila Saifullah till March 13th, with occasional intervals.
