In accordance with the directives of the party’s founder, Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan resigned from four standing committees of the National Assembly on Thursday as the nation’s politics take new turns.
In the lower chamber of parliament, the PTI chairman resigned from four important committees. He was a member of the House Business Advisory, Human Rights, Law and Justice, and Information Technology committees.
Barrister Gohar is one among at least 18 PTI legislators who have quit from the NA bodies thus far.
Along with boycotting the next by-elections in the upcoming months, the action is part of the political plan of the previous ruling party.
