As the 2024 national election results drew criticism from various political parties, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman continued to criticize the February 8 polls, predicting that the “system would collapse” because the “establishment wants government of their choice.”
“Establishment wants assemblies and people in them of their choice,” the political leader claimed during a press conference with other party leaders in Peshawar on Tuesday.
“We were informed before the elections that it had been determined to lower the JUI-F’s representation in the assembly. Various types of rigging happened in each voting place throughout the elections.”
“If they believe there was no fraud in the polls, the May 9 story is apparently dead. They can’t manage the country, and this system will collapse. Those who are sticking to the system will be crying in the coming days,” Fazl said
