ISLAMABAD: Amidst rumors that the government intended to call a joint session of parliament on August 28, President Asif Ali Zardari met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Saturday.
The president arrived at Fazl’s home in the nation’s capital accompanied by Senator Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of the Interior.
JUI-F leaders Maulana Abdul Ghafoor, Maulana Asad Mehmood, Aslam Ghauri, and Engineer Ziaur Rehman were also present at the conference.
On possible important laws that would be brought up in the joint session, both leaders engaged in thorough discussion.
