across order to assist farmers who have sustained significant losses due to the present floods, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari requested the government to declare an agricultural emergency across the nation on Friday.
He emphasized to flood victims in Kasur the importance of giving growers seeds and fertilizer in addition to offering help in the form of concessional loans.
Assuring that he would address their concerns with the federal government and urge Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to promptly proclaim an agriculture emergency to aid farmers in their recovery, Bilawal presented a cheque for Rs10.5 million to flood victims in Kasur.
According to him, the farming community in Punjab had sustained significant harm and required both financial support and input supply in order to recover.
