Bill Gates withdraws from India AI Summit
Bill Gates announced his decision to cancel his speech just hours prior.
Gates Foundation said it made this decision following careful consideration. They also stated they wanted to focus the attention on the primary objectives of the Summit. They did not give any additional information.
Gates resigned after the US Department of Justice published new documents in January that contained his name.
Gates spokesperson denied all allegations made in the document. Gates stated that Epstein was a bad influence on him.

India’s AI push is a setback
as, for instance,pledged to improve AI infrastructure and access in India. Over 100 countries will be represented at the summit, including world leaders.
It was not all praise for the event. Reports revealed, however, that the robot in question was made by a Chinese firm.
The Global Leaders Call for Responsible AI
Altman, CEO of OpenAI has called on the government to take immediate action to regulate AI. According to him, democratizing AI would benefit humanity. Altman warned against the concentration of AI within one country or company.
The Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi said that AI must empower people, not reduce them to data points. His call for technology sharing was directed at all countries, especially those in development.
Emmanuel Macron echoed this view. The French President urged collaboration globally and innovation with responsibility.
Antonio Guterres stated that only a handful of countries and billionaires should not shape the future AI.
Dario Ammodei of Anthropic also expressed interest in collaborating with India on AI testing
