On social media, Britney Spears unexpectedly apologized to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
In her biography The Woman In Me, the 42-year-old singer claimed that the former member of NSYNC was a terrible partner and later expressed regret.
In the book, Britney claimed that Justin, who she dated from 1999 to 2002, had repeatedly cheated on her and had forced her to have an abortion.
“I cherished Justin dearly. I’ve always thought that one day we’ll have a family. He claimed that we were far too young and not ready to become parents. She had posted in the comments, “I know people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby.”
On Sunday, though, the Toxic crooner shared a video of Justin from his most recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on her now-private Instagram account.
“I would like to express my regret for some of the topics I discussed in my book. I really apologize if I offended anyone I truly care about,” she wrote.
Additionally, Britney gave Justin’s two new tracks, Selfish and Sanctified, high acclaim.
“In addition, I wanted to express how much I adore Justin Timberlake’s brand-new song, “Selfish.” It’s hilarious, and I can’t stop laughing whenever I see Jimmy and Justin together. “PS: ‘Sanctified’ is amazing as well,” she went on.
