ISLAMABAD: PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have charged that the NAB is a tool of the establishment and their political rivals to keep them out of the political sphere as the Toshakhana-2 reference approaches its conclusion.
Imran claimed in comments made during the case’s inquiry that a “local and foreign conspiracy” had overthrown him from office and that he had been subjected to cruel and extraordinary victimization since November 2022. He claimed that although scores of false accusations were made against him and the PTI leadership, all significant prosecution cases have ended in acquittals or sentence suspensions.
