Imran Khan, the founder of the PTI, and his wife Bushra Bibi were indicted in the £190 million scandal reference during a hearing held by the Islamabad accountability court on Tuesday in Adiala Jail.

The court has now requested five witnesses for the next hearing. The hearing was presided over by Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana, who also issued the decision.

Both accused deny the charges brought against them by the prosecution.

However, two of Imran Khan’s applications have been approved. The PTI founder had requested permission to have a checkup performed by both a dentist and a general physician of his choosing.

The hearing was delayed until March 6.

Alarming facts have emerged in the inquiry report on the 190 million-pound scam involving former Prime Minister Imran Khan and others.

The former government’s Asset Recovery Unit lost its record of correspondence with the UK’s National Crime Agency. The report also reveals Malik Riaz’s meeting with former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his accountability adviser Shahzad Akbar prior to the settlement of 190 million pounds.

According to the PM House archives, the meeting was held on July 11, 2019.

According to the study, Shahzad Akbar and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem had the missing record. The record was owned by the state of Pakistan and disappeared to conceal illegal activity.

The records were deliberately caused to disappear in order to impede the investigation, according to the report, which also stated that the Cabinet Division had looked into the missing records.

According to the report, Shahzad Akbar and Ziaul Mustafa Naseem are responsible for the data’ loss.

According to the inquiry report, Asset Recovery Unit Secretary Manzoor Kayani acknowledged the correspondence with the British National Crime Agency. The unit wrote letters to the NCA’s country manager, Usman Ahmed.
