Caitlin Clark Heads Into the WNBA Playoffs

The Fever are entering the postseason after a strong regular season finish. Indiana defeated Minnesota 96 to 77 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on September 22.

Clark played a major role in the victory. She scored 27 points and added nine assists and seven rebounds. Kelsey Mitchell also scored 20 points for Indiana.

The result kept Indiana’s hopes of earning home court alive for at least another day. Minnesota, however, secured the No. 1 playoff seed after Golden State lost to Portland.

Nike Caitlin 1 Set for October Release

Clark’s growing profile extends beyond the basketball court. Nike has announced the global release of the Caitlin 1 for October 1.

The shoe will launch through Nike and selected Nike Basketball retailers worldwide. Nike lists the North American price at $140.

The first release features the Caitlin Blue colorway. Nike’s product page lists the Racer Blue and multicolor design at $140.

What Makes the Caitlin 1 Different?

Nike says Clark worked closely with its designers during development. The shoe focuses on three areas of her game: a quicker first step, a faster step back and a quicker shot release.

The Caitlin 1 uses Nike Opticast in the upper. It also includes a forefoot Air Zoom Turbo unit and full length Cushlon foam.

Nike says the design aims to provide lightweight support and responsive cushioning.

Clark's Playoff Spotlight Grows

Clark’s return to the Fever lineup has added another major storyline to Indiana’s postseason campaign.

Her latest performance against Minnesota showed her impact in several areas. She scored efficiently while also creating opportunities for teammates.

The playoff picture also creates the possibility of another Clark and Angel Reese matchup.

Why the Nike Launch Matters

The Caitlin 1 gives Clark another major platform as she enters the postseason.

Nike describes the shoe as the beginning of Clark’s signature collection. The company will also release an 18 piece apparel collection alongside the footwear.

The launch also connects Clark’s playing style with the design of the shoe. Nike says the model reflects her focus on speed, space creation and long range shooting.

Caitlin Clark Enters New Chapter

At the same time, attention will shift toward the October 1 release of the Nike Caitlin 1. Fans will be able to see the shoe in stores and on basketball courts as Clark begins the next stage of her WNBA career.

Caitlin Clark enters the 2026 WNBA playoffs with strong momentum after Indiana’s 96 to 77 win over Minnesota.
