King Charles III of Britain discussed the psychological effects of his recent cancer diagnosis with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Wednesday at Buckingham Palace.
His Majesty said, “Wonderful to see you looking so well,” to which Sunak replied, “It’s all done by mirrors.”
Sunak said, “We’re all behind you, the nation is behind you.”
Buckingham Palace said earlier this month that King Charles III has been diagnosed with a type of cancer and is undergoing treatment. This was the first time he had spoken about his illness in public, until his meeting with the prime minister.

“I’ve had so many wonderful messages and cards which reduce me to tears most of the time,” Charles went on.
“I hear that there’s been a lot more attention and interest on those main, wonderful cancer charities, many of which I’ve been patron for years.”
