The Hollywood actress and 45-year-old Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden shared the news of their second child on Instagram together in 2015. The couple wed in 2015.
“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden,” they wrote in a letter.
“We are all very glad he is here and he is amazing! We won’t be sharing any photos of the child because of his safety and privacy, but he’s very adorable.
“We are incredibly appreciative and fortunate. Greetings from our family to yours in abundance. Greetings and happy afternoon!.”
Joel Madden, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, and singers Lionel Richie and Katy Perry were among the well-known people who congratulated the couple. Wentz tweeted on social media, “Another earth angel.”
After the 2014 release of Annie, a musical, Diaz, who had appeared in Charlie’s Angels and The Holiday, took a hiatus from acting.
She will star with Jamie Foxx in the upcoming Netflix comedy Back In Action and with Keanu Reeves in Apple TV+’s Outcome.
