Alcaraz, 20, won his first championship since Wimbledon in July by defeating the world number four seed from Russia 7-6 (7-5) 6-1.
The Spaniard was making a comeback from an ankle injury that sidelined him in his Rio Open opener earlier this month.
“It’s really special for me, and I love playing here,” Alcaraz said to news Sports.
“This year is a little more unique because I debated whether or not to give it my all before the competition. My ankle problem wasn’t helping me feel my best.
