Carlos Alcaraz defeats Fabian Marozsan at Indian Wells to get to the final eight.

The Spanish player defeated the Hungarian 6-3 6-3 in 75 minutes.

In an attempt to become the first player to defend the championship since Novak Djokovic in 2016, world number two Alcaraz is putting in a proposal.

After overturning a sluggish start to defeat Australia’s Alex de Minaur 5-7 6-2 6-3, the German sixth seed will now square off against Alexander Zverev in the round of eight.

In the opening game of the second set, 10th seed De Minaur broke service after winning the first.

Zverev, though, answered right after and managed to hold serve the remainder of the match, making five of his seven break attempts.
