At Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium on Wednesday, the Lions defeated the Stallions by 12 runs in the first eliminator of the Champions One-Day Cup. The Lions had stopped the Stallions from chasing a 264-run target.
In the second innings, the Stallions, captained by Mohammad Haris, managed to reach 251 all out in 49.4 overs.
Yasir Khan hit seven boundaries and scored 39 runs off of 41 balls as the Haris-led team started their chase of the mark.
But in the 14.3 overs that Faisal Akram bowled, the player attempting to reach fifty was out by leg before wicket.
Yasir opened the second innings with Maaz Sadaqat, who hit four boundaries his route to scoring 27 runs for the team.
