During its four-day conflict with India in May of this year, Chinese-made weaponry systems performed “exceptionally well,” according to Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director-General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), as reported by The News, citing Bloomberg.
In an interview from Islamabad last week, Lt Gen Chaudhry stated, “Of course, recent Chinese platforms have demonstrated exceptionally well.”
He went on to say, “We are open to all sorts of technology.”
Pakistan deployed its first significant deployment of contemporary Chinese-manufactured systems during the May conflict, including J-10C fighters that Islamabad claimed were responsible for taking down several Indian aircraft, including French-built Rafales. Since the battle, the systems’ performance has come under close scrutiny.
