Against the Los Angeles Sparks, the Indiana Fever lost 88-82, despite Caitlin Clark scoring a WNBA career-high 30 points.
In a single game, Clark became the first rookie to score thirty points, record three steals, three blocks, five rebounds, and five assists.
While attending the University of Iowa, the 22-year-old American broke numerous records and increased the profile of women’s basketball.
“I think I just played with an aggressive mindset,” Clark, last month’s top draft pick by the WNBA, said.
“I believe the most important thing was to play as downward as possible. We kind of shot ourselves in the foot after doing some nice things.”
For the Fever, who have lost seven of their eight games this season, Clark made her debut in May.
Clark scores thirty points, but the Indiana Fever lose.
