According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir honored the martyrs and their families on Monday for their valiant deeds and sacrifices made on behalf of the nation.
At the investiture ceremony conducted at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, the army commander declared, “There is nothing more noble than laying one’s life [in] defence of motherland and the sacrifices of our martyrs strengthen our resolve to fight with utmost dedication and spirit of sacrifice.”
According to the military’s media wing, the army chief presented military awards to army soldiers for their valiant actions during operations and honorable contributions to the country during the ceremony.
Numerous high-ranking army officials and the families of the recipients were present during the ceremony, according to the ISPR.
According to the ISPR, “Officers and soldiers were awarded medals including Tamgha-I-Basalat (Medal of Good Conduct) and Sitara-I-Imtiaz (Military).”
The martyrs’ family members received the medals that were granted to them.
On this particular occasion, Gen. Munir also praised the courageous families of the martyrs for their selflessness and the sacrifices they made.
