RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir stated on Friday, the eve of the 59th Defence and Martyrs Day, that Pakistan was safe due to the efforts of law enforcement and security services.
In a statement on Defense Day, when the country honors the victorious heritage of the 1965 War, he stated that the forces of valor and bravery had power over the monster of terrorism.
According to the army chief, September 6 is remembered as a significant day in national defense history.
“The forces crushed the enemy’s evil intentions on this day.” We are proud of the sense of national cohesion [that was evident] during the September 11th attacks, he remarked.
