Columbia is expanding in the Caribbean with its very first store in Puerto Rico at Plaza Carolina in San Juan. Announced on November 25, 2025, this move is part of the brand’s plan to grow in the region. The company put in around $1.2 million to open the store and stock it with its latest outdoor gear.
Creating Jobs and Supporting Local Talent
The new store will bring more than 50 jobs to the island, giving a boost to Puerto Rico’s retail sector. Columbia sees this as a chance to support the local community while building a strong and sustainable presence in the market.
Gear and Collections for Outdoor Fans
The store covers 3,846 square feet (about 357 square meters) and is designed for people who love spending time outdoors. Shoppers can explore collections for hiking, trail running, fishing, and casual lifestyle gear, along with technical shoes and accessories. Every item uses Columbia’s technologies to ensure warmth, cooling, protection, and comfort no matter the conditions.
Fresh Products and Innovation
The product mix is about 60% menswear and 40% womenswear, with new collections arriving twice a year. Trail running, introduced this year, is one of the highlights, showing the brand’s focus on keeping up with trends and meeting the needs of outdoor enthusiasts.
Strengthening Its Caribbean Presence
Opening at Plaza Carolina is a big step for Columbia in Puerto Rico. The store helps the brand get closer to local shoppers and confirms its reputation as a reliable choice for high-performance outdoor gear.
