ISLAMABAD: Umar Hayat, the suspect in the murder of social media influencer Sana Yousaf, was indicted by an Islamabad district and sessions court on Saturday.
On June 2, 2025, the 17-year-old TikToker, who has over a million followers on many platforms, was shot twice inside her Sector G-13/1 home, allegedly by Hayat.
In accordance with Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), police had filed a murder complaint against the 22-year-old defendant at the Sumbal police station in Islamabad.
Known by his nickname “Kaka” and being a TikToker himself, the accused was hauled before Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal, who read out the charges against him.
However, the accused chose to challenge the accusations and entered a not guilty plea.
