ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, an accountability court in Islamabad will render a decision on the appeal brought forth by Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, regarding her exoneration in the £190 million settlement case.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana reserved his decision in the case on Wednesday, September 4, following the hearing of arguments from all sides. The former first lady has asked the court to acquit her in the petition.
In a case that also involves a real estate mogul, the imprisoned former premier and his spouse are accused of causing the national exchequer to lose billions of dollars.
The Adiala jail in Rawalpindi hosted the case’s prior hearing.
