The multinational consumer products behemoth Procter & Gamble (P&G) has declared a significant change in its business plan for Pakistan, opting to transition to a third-party distributor model and shut down its production facilities.
It can take a few months to finish the gradual shift.
P&G declares its move to a distributor model.
The company announced in a statement that it is implementing a new business and operating model in Pakistan, which calls for the company to switch to a third-party distributor model and phase out P&G Pakistan and Gillette Pakistan Limited’s production and trading operations.
Despite the change, P&G promised that its products, which will now be supplied through other regional operations, will still be available to Pakistani consumers.
