KARACHI/GWADAR: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported on Saturday that Cyclone Shakti had become a severe cyclonic storm after intensifying further in the northeastern Arabian Sea.
The weatherman estimates that the system is presently 390 kilometers southwest of Karachi. Over the next 36 hours, severe turbulence is predicted to continue in the central-northern and northern Arabian Sea, and the coastal strip of Sindh is likely to continue to experience difficult conditions.
Additionally, according to the Met Office, rain is predicted in Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Jamshoro, Hub, Lasbela, Awaran, and Kech today due to its impact, while light to moderate showers and thunder are possible in some areas of Karachi.
