On August 26, courts will be closed in observance of the yearly Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, also known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, according to the Lahore High Court.
Acting Chief Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh’s consent was obtained before the notification was released.
The official announcement states that on August 26, Lahore’s session courts and civil courts will both be closed. It has been decided to make it easier to celebrate one of Pakistan’s most venerated saints on a yearly basis.
Every year, thousands of followers travel to Lahore for the Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, a major religious occasion where they honor the saint who is well-known for his teachings and spiritual influence.
