David Beckham, a co-owner of Inter Miami, appeared to be impressed by the team when he posted a photo of the former Football Club (FC) Barcelona players relaxing during a team practice on social media.
The 2014 Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba were pictured on Saturday sitting next to each other on a few chairs in their practice clothes, grinning. The photo has already gone viral on social media.
During their Saturday pre-season training, Messi was drinking at one end, Suárez next to him, Busquets at the other, and Alba at the far end.
Beckham wrote “I Mean” and a flame emoji as a caption for the picture he posted of the historic reunion on Instagram.
After joining Beckham’s Inter Miami, the former Barcelona luminaries are now a part of Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.
Uruguayan striker Suarez became the most recent addition to the squad after joining last month. Argentine forward Messi, Spanish defensive midfielder Busquets, and left defender Alba joined the team in July of last year.
According to News18, Suarez said last month that he had signed a one-year contract, leaving Barcelona supporters ecstatic about the reunion of the former teammates.
During their six seasons together at Barcelona, Suárez and Messi won nine trophies in all, including the Champions League trophy. They also won four Spanish league crowns.
