Miley Cyrus and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, have not reconciled, despite him reaching out to her after she forgot to thank him during her Grammy-winning speech.
The Flowers hitmaker won her first Grammy Awards this year, but instead of thanking her family, particularly her mother, Tish Cyrus, and sister, she snubbed the country singer.
Regarding their feud, a source told Us Weekly, “He’s tried reaching out to Miley many times and congratulated her on her Grammys.”
“The kids have chosen sides, but friends are hoping the rift doesn’t last forever,” a person familiar with the matter said, adding, “Miley and Billy Ray are on the outs.”

“Miley’s very close with her mom and is standing by her,” she said.
Miley’s reported quarrel with Billy began when he split from Tish after nearly 20 years together. When he began romancing Firerose, the father-daughter relationship became more apart.
Billy married Firerose, who is 27 years younger than him, while Tish Cyrus married Dominic Purcell, the guy from Prison Break.
“The family dynamics haven’t been the same since the divorce, and now that Tish and Billy Ray are with other people, there’s even more division among them all,” the couple said.
Regarding Miley’s Grammy snub, the source added, “Miley hasn’t gotten over the disrespect she feels Billy Ray showed Tish and the family.”
