A member of the Pakistan Army who “works for personal gain or promotes a specific agenda” may find legal action following, according to Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR).
In light of the army’s detention and investigation of former chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hamid over charges of taking assets and grabbing land from a private housing society’s owner, he made these remarks.
At a news briefing on Thursday at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, the army’s chief spokesperson said, “A petition was filed against Gen (retd) Faiz in the Top City case and a high-level court inquiry was ordered in April 2024.”
