ISLAMABAD: On Friday, defense analysts characterized Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), as sending a clear and decisive message to all actors, both internal and external, who are questioning Pakistan’s sovereignty or undermining its counterterrorism resolve, during his extensive press conference in Peshawar.
According to defense expert Syed Muhammad Ali, the DG ISPR’s news conference’s date and venue had “strategic significance,” conveying a message to Afghanistan, India, and domestic political factions perceived as “soft on terrorism.”
