On June 20, Maldwyn “Gwern” Evans passed away at his Tynreithin, Tregaron, residence.
He was regarded by his relatives as a “captivating personality” and a “keen little farmer”.
In a statement released through Dyfed-Powys Police, the family said, “As a family, we are incredibly distraught by our tragic loss, and he will be greatly missed by us and the entire community.”
“He was a kind brother and loving son who warmed the hearts of countless people.
“He made the most of his brief existence and will always be admired for his endearing demeanor.
He was a very astute little farmer with skills and knowledge well beyond his years.”
“We would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this terrible time,” they continued.
“It has meant so much to the whole family.”
In a previous statement, Dyfed-Powys Police stated: “HM Coroner has been notified and the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
“Our thoughts are with the family who are receiving support and they have asked for privacy during this difficult time.”
