The military’s propaganda wing reported late Monday that security forces had neutralized the same number of terrorists in a clearance operation after five troops, including a captain, were killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in the Kech area of Balochistan.
The IED hit the troops on September 15 when they were conducting an intelligence-based sanitization operation in Sher Bandi, Kech, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the statement, “five courageous sons of the soil, including a captain, embraced martyrdom as a result.”
Five terrorists connected to the Indian proxy organization Fitna al Hindustan were slain by security authorities as a follow-up. Any lingering militants were being eliminated by ongoing sanitation efforts in the neighborhood.
