RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Thursday that the security forces had carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area Razmak of the North Waziristan District, resulting in the deaths of at least eight terrorists.
The operation was carried out on the “reported presence” of terrorists on September 25 and 26, according to the military’s media wing.
“During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and Khawarij, as a result of which, eight Khawarij were sent to hell,” said the statement.
According to the ISPR, the security forces also found guns and ammunition from the terrorists who were slain. These individuals were still actively engaged in terrorist attacks against security personnel and the murder of innocent civilians.
