During the summer, Baroness Morgan had named a temporary cabinet that included the unexpected reappointment of former first minister Mark Drakeford as health secretary.
It was confirmed on Wednesday that Mr. Drakeford will continue in his role as finance and Welsh language secretary for the government.
Vaughan Gething, her immediate predecessor as first minister, formally resigned from the position last month after serving for just four months.
After a number of ministers resigned from his administration and demanded that Mr. Gething step down, his tenure came to an end.
It was only in March that he took over as first minister from Mr. Drakeford.
As part of the most recent reorganization, two of those ministers—including Jeremy Miles, Mr. Gething’s previous competitor for the leadership—have rejoined the administration.
On Saturday, Mr. Gething declared that he would step down from the Welsh parliament completely in the 2026 election.
He issued a statement declaring that he would instead lend his support from the backbenches and would not pursue a position in Baroness Morgan’s administration.
The first minister declared that her new leadership team would “bring our collective talents together, offer stability, and draw on experience” on behalf of “all of Wales.”
Following the reshuffle, the Welsh Conservatives, the largest opposition party in the Senedd, declared that it was “still the same old Labour” and asserted the situation.
