Speaking as England got ready for their quarterfinal matchup with Switzerland on Saturday at 17:00, Stones predicted that victory would “change a lot of things”.
“It demonstrates our team’s unity and togetherness,” the 30-year-old defender remarked.
“When you have done those things, you can believe you can do it better, and when it gets tough you can always recap to these moments.”
Before their late comeback, the Stones believed that England was going to be out quickly.
