Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir honored former Pakistan Army leaders and soldiers at a special Independence Day reception hosted by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Former commanders and politicians attended the ceremony in full, which was organized to honor army veterans.
General Munir highlighted the ex-servicemen’s ongoing significance in Pakistan’s growth and commended them for their pivotal part in forming the nation’s history. The army leader spoke to the assembly and emphasized the need of unity and fortitude in the face of persistent difficulties.
In a statement, General Asim Munir stressed the importance of ex-servicemen continuing to contribute to Pakistan’s growth. In addition, he cautioned against the perils of propaganda and false news, emphasizing that hostile groups are trying to undermine the relationship between the people and the armed forces.
