After lunch, England lost by 126 runs in the first inning, with captain Ben Stokes making 41 but becoming the first in a final collapse of 5-29.

With his second century in as many games, Jaiswal solidified India’s lead. He also added an increasingly potent 155 with Shubman Gill, who is still 65 and not out.
In the evening session, India’s free scoring exploited England’s bowlers, and Jaiswal eventually had to retire hurt with a back issue at 104.
