WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump released a 20-point peace plan for Gaza on Monday, calling for the return of all captives, both dead and alive, within 72 hours of a truce and ending the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Hamas fighters, who began the battle against Israel on October 7, 2023, must approve the plan, which leaves many aspects up for negotiation. It calls a revitalized Gaza “New Gaza.”
