Days-long rainstorms are anticipated to provide the nation a respite, as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted sporadic showers across the nation on Friday beginning on Tuesday, June 18.
The country’s upper and central regions are expected to be penetrated by moist currents from the Arabian Sea, according to the Met Office’s most recent weather advisory.
“A Shallow westerly wave is also likely to approach western parts of the country on June 18,” the warning stated.
The aforementioned system is predicted to bring rain and thunderstorms to Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir this tonight and tomorrow morning (June 15).
But beyond Saturday, these regions should continue to see hot, dry weather for two days.
Parts of Gujarat are predicted to experience another spell of rain and thunderstorms with sporadic breaks from June 18 to June 22. These areas include Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur in the Kashmir region.
In the meantime, Kashmir is probably going to have a few significant falls during that time.
Similar to this, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) regions including Dir, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Kohistan, Chitral, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram, and Waziristan are predicted to experience thunderstorms and rain this tonight and early tomorrow morning.
“From June 16 to June 18, extremely hot and dry weather is predicted in the province’s southern regions.
However, following sporadic showers predicted from June 18 to June 22, the intensity of the weather is predicted to lessen in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan, Kurram, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan.
