Jennifer Aniston recently spoke to the admirers of her late buddy, actor Matthew Perry.
The 54-year-old actress made the remarks on Sunday while she was in attendance at the Critics Choice Awards 2024, where her program The Morning Show received the most nominations.
Alongside Reese Witherspoon, the Apple TV+ series was nominated for six awards, including Best Drama Series and Best Actress in a Drama Series.
Speaking on the red carpet, Entertainment Tonight questioned Jennifer about her thoughts for the Friends alum’s surviving fans.
Jennifer said, “Celebrate him,” grinning as she mentioned Matthew, who passed away on October 28 at his Los Angeles home after suffering from severe ketamine side effects.
Her comments follow rumors that the ensemble of the popular sitcom, which included Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Courteney Cox, will get back together to pay a moving homage to the role of Chandler Bing.
In November 2023, Daily Mail revealed that the ensemble will share the stage during the upcoming Emmy Awards.
“Jen, Lisa, and the rest of the cast want to honor him publicly at some point and give him the tribute he so rightfully deserves – and there have been rumblings to do it at next year’s Emmys,” a source told the publication at the time.
