ISLAMABAD: The deadline for submitting income tax returns for the 2025 tax year was extended by 15 days by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday.
The FBR stated in a statement that the deadline had been extended in response to requests from tax bar associations, taxpayers, and numerous trade groups.
Income tax returns for the 2025 tax year are now due on October 15.
In accordance with Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, this judgment was made. In response to demands from the general public, tax bar associations, and numerous trade entities, the deadline has been extended,” the notification stated.
