The inaugural game of the star-studded Champions One-Day Cup will take place at Faislabad’s Iqbal Stadium on September 12 will feature UMT (University of Management and Technology) Markhors (formerly Wolves) versus the Panthers.
Mohammad Rizwan will captain UMT Markhors, who will be coached by Misbah-ul-Haq; Shadab Khan will captain the Panthers, who will be coached by Saqlain Mushtaq. The inaugural event of the season has a 49 million rupee total prize fund. The victor of the tournament on September 29 will receive 30 million rupees, while the runner-up will receive 15 million rupees.
The match between Shaheen Shah Afridi’s Nurpur Lions and Mohammad Haris’ Allied Bank Stallions is scheduled for Friday. On Saturday, Saud Shakeel’s Dolphins and Shadab Khan’s Panthers will square off.
