Regarding the purported kidnapping of Sanam Javed, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist, a case has been filed at the Sharqi Police Station in Peshawar.
Sanam Javed was allegedly stopped by five unidentified people on a busy road in Peshawar and pushed into a car before being taken away, according to the first information report (FIR) that her friend, a female lawyer, filed on Tuesday.
The FIR’s complaint described the occurrence as a major breach of law and order, arguing that it calls into doubt the city’s ability to uphold the law.
