In the semifinal, the Englishman also defeated home favorite Michael van Gerwen 11–4.
Littler wins his third World Series championship after earlier victories in Bahrain and Poland this year. Littler started the day with a quarterfinal win over Chris Dobey.
In May, he triumphed over Luke Humphries in the Premier League Darts championship, exacting revenge for his loss in the championship match.

“I’ll go back home and practice even more because I’m playing well. Winter is going to be busy, so there isn’t time to relax.
“Everyone wants to be the winner, but I’ve come to realize that’s not possible. My goal is to win [title] in another major. Like everyone else, I want to go to the Worlds, but I would really want to go to another major.”
When asked if he was the best player in the world right now, Littler replied, “Probably this weekend.”
